Your case sounds extremely complicated and I strongly recommend that you contact an experienced immigration attorney in your area for assistance. First of all, you need to follow-up on your application for a reentry permit either by attending an INFOPASS appointment at your local DHS office or calling the USCIS customer service number 800-375-5283 with your receipt number.
It is not clear from your message what happened when you flew into LAX and they forced you to abandon your green card. I presume that you mean that they confiscated your green card. It was already abandoned if you were outside the U.S. for more than one year and you were not approved for a reentry permit.
At this point, you should start thinking about ways to apply for a new green card either through family or employment.
Good luck to you!

Since you already turned over your green card and did not dispute the abandonment argument at that time, the only option now would be to re-apply for green card through family or employment.

Dear Client
unfortunately, you cannot regain your green card. you have to apply for new one depending on your circumstances and what you might qualify under.
Good Luck.
