Consular officials have denied many fiance and marriage based visas due to the beneficiary not being able to remember their in-laws date of death or the exact date of a funeral.
In the case of a fiance, the only requirement is that the couple should have met within the last 2 years before they plan to marry. Yet many cases that are legitimate on their face are denied without reason.
This is clearly an erroneous denial and an error in judgment on the part of the consulate official.
